I'm participating for the feedback...
as well as to cultivate the good habit of writing daily. I have lots to say, and have been told I say it well, but getting buckled down to good business practices is tough for me with everything else going on in my life. I like your writing style...I'll look forward to reading more!

Re:
Hallo Sam, I'm lucky enough to be able to say that money is not the most important reason for my wanting to stay put; more important is the friendly atmosphere. Have a nice day.

Re:

Hallo Mal, thanks for the interesting feedback to this post. I find the reading just as useful as the writing. When I travel my main interest is in meeting people, though of course I do visit tourist attractions too.So far I have never visited your country; I should like to, but perhaps never will. However one way of 'meeting' people and getting to know them is by visiting their blogs and reflecting on their contributions.

Best wishes

Elinjo.

Hi, Elinjo - interesting post.  I find that many blogit members "take stock" after a month or two, asking the same questions.  I came here because I'm a published magazine/newspaper journalist trying to figure out this new world of blogging.  I pay the fee, because there's a built-in audience where I can read and be read (unlike my free blogsite, which usually has zero comments).  It will be a year for me in April, and I've discovered a whole, open-minded (for the most part) community of writers; some who are not published, but should be (like TAPS and ZenMom and others).  My involvement with this site ebbs and flows with my own "real world" work.  When I'm hunkering down to write my articles, I log onto blogit less.  When I'm in between work, I'm more involved.  You have a nice writing style, and I enjoy reading your stories.  Good to have you here.  Mal
