Thanks for your kind words. I tend to think in rhyme, unless I'm menally translating everything I think into French! No wonder I get frazzled + forget what the heck I'm doing.

Marvelous poetry, reminds me greatly of my favourite, Robert Service. I loved it because I travelled those mountains for 18 years, driving Montreal to Vancouver servicing and selling printing machinery. My sister Eileen who is dead now, was a Sister of St Ann and taught in Vancouver, Victoria, Merrit B.C. and Kamloops. I have 2 daughter's in the west.

THIS REMINDS ME
This reminds me of a song that I love, Gordon Lightfoot's Canadian Railroad Trilogy! Don't know why, because it's not even about the railroads. But I love your poem, it is vivid in its descriptions and you can almost see in your mind's eye everything that you capture!
