This is a wonderful and inspiring poem!
I know another ROCK that was overlooked many years ago, but He has not been changed one iota because of haughty spirits demonstrated by others. Hallelujah! :)

This is a marvelous poem.
I also love the shape your poem makes on my screen. all of your poems are artistic to look at, and read!

Yet, we must admit, the rock withstood time; the other things passed.  The lovely contrasts!!

Sinome

That must have been one heck of a rhyme that your mother recited to you!  Maybe one of your readers will know what it is or the author.

I love the opening line--great picture! Your poems are so beautiful; I sometimes don't leave a comment, simply because I'm at a loss for words! I will now take Sam's suggestion to leave a calling card at least! Thanks very much for appreciating my posts on festivals....don't we have too many of them!! [and that translates into too many holidays for some!!] Yes, I should have taken today of!!! But I'm down in Bangalore [South India] where it was just another day, since Saraswati Puja is not celebrated here! A very happy weekend to you too! God bless. Nita.

Nice poem. I especially liked to the song of the birds danced in the wind.
