This made me laugh- particularly because just this morning I had to tear myself away from my daily musings that I find myself writing with my morning cuppa, and had to have a rapid shower myself so as not to be late to sing with the choir in church (being newly conscripted I do not want to be late). So to add to your suggestions I would:
Not turn the taps on too much to save time getting the hot water balanced between scalding and not really there at all
Take the shower head off its rack and wet hair with one hand, apply shampoo rapidly to top of scalp only (you can catch up next time when you are not in a hurry). This has the advantage of not washing away all the conditioner from yesterday, saving even more time reapplying it.
Rinse hair barely adequately - like I said, you can do a better job next time
Hang up shower head (best if you don't drop it, it makes a terrible din)
Grab the smaller towel you have kept within reach; bend forward (out of the water spray) and twist the towel around your head to begin the drying process while you finish showering. Straighten up again
Grab the soap, gel, whatever and lather very quickly, you are late
Rinse, turn off shower, shiver but grab the bathtowel and get going
Clothes have of course been laid out on the end of the bed and you have two minutes to do your face, dress and blast your hair into what passes for dry... (put the damp bits into a chignon and no one will be any the wiser)
Phew. Made it.

You made me laugh, but I love a long, long bath, music on, candles lighted, book at the ready, glass of champagne on the brim. But then, I don't take a bath to get clean, for that purpose I use the shower.
