LOL TAPS!
Me too! Unfortunately, she is no longer with us. She had a good heart for most people, and was hardest on herself, more's the pity. I hope she's a beautiful (and I stress the word beautiful) angel.

I hope she has grown up a bit along with growing older.  If I cried over every age spot, every wart, every hair on my chin, I'd be crying all the time.

Re: Perhaps her vanity did not let her see the wisdom of your poem.
LOL! Awww...come on,  Muley. One silent treatment was enough for me! Vanity was her only fault - and I kinda twisted the knife with the poem. I learned a valuable lesson - to be careful of other people's feelings!

Thank you, Auslander
The friend was my step aunt - I liked her alot. But I blew it with this poem.I believe I was just repeating what my first foster mother had taught me when I was very young, but was not astute enough in my twenties to realize that not all people think alike.

Re: WOW..that's a powerful poem , expecially for a 20 yr old. xxooo
Yeh, I spent my childhood with older people (over 60 - which to a child, is old!), then went wild in my teens (the sixties!), then got wiser again in my twenties - then crazy again in my forties. What a whirlwind - but what fun! Thanks.

It is a beautiful poem. But now I feel very old. Perhaps I'll talk to you again in 25 years....perhaps not! lol
