I wrote this many years ago, it came to mind as I read your post.

Cast in a mold.

Ugly

I feel it pressing,

saying,

change,

welcome! my cold

cruel conformity.

Let me

wrap myself about you

until you

become no one,

in a crowd of no ones.

Struggling, I keep my foot out,

my fingers dig at a crack,

unless I escape

the future I face

 forever running in circles,

going everywhere,

nowhere,

blind, deaf

heartless.

Bursting forth I grab

me from the mold,

take my heart,

my ears

my eyes

and go

to be my own,

unincorporated.

one of the best ways to unravel, i find, is to sing. or punch something (preferablly not alive) hope you've unwound by now
