It needs good will and trust on both sides. If Hamas would remove its inflammatory remarks about Israel from its' 1988 charter, the Israelis would probably feel more inclined to keep the border-posts open and talk to Hamas. I hope President Obama will give this issue top priority.

It may not be everything, but it would be a terrific start. Long may this fragile 'peace' (or cessation of hostilities) last.

Re: what the palestinians need is the basic things to eat ..to plant ..
Maybe back 50 years or so or even earlier if they would have spent their time learning and developing so that they could have things to eat and plant then maybe things would be better now. Standing in the streets protesting, burning flags and firing rifles in the air could have been time spent in developing the things that their people could have imrpoved their lives.
