I have spent a total of seven years in Israel since 1986
- and while I don't consider myself an expert, I do have a feel for what is true to the Israeli character and what is not. A shocking article was published in The Age in Melbourne on Saturday by a guy called Michael Backman. I am reprinting it with a rebuttal by some people in the Melbourne Jewish community and also my own thoughts on my blog now.
