What children do is what dumb children do. Adults should warn them, shake them up even, but not prosecute them as they are only idiot children.
Mom and Dad should take away their photo phones and let them talk on phones only. Those old people phones which do nothing but call and answer.

But on to the subject at hand: if this country wasn't run by such heretical hypocrites we'd all be better off. WHAT is the stinkin' big deal if a girl took pics of herself with her phone? So what, if it wasn't the smartest thing to do? What right do these so-called, law-givers have to initiate charges against them and potentially make marks on their records? If this country didn't make a huge, honkin' deal over every little thing
maybe there wouldn't
be so many harmful freakazoids out there! Just think how the "thrill" of something is removed when it's not illegal anymore.

Nothing surprises me anymore, but....
you are so right about the perverts lurking in this world that makes sexting a BIG danger. My kids are grown and all my grands are still real young but I will let my kids know anyway. By the time these guys get old enough for a cell phone....no telling what will be taking place.

Our culture is literally drenched in the public display of sexually suggestive, if not explicit, material.
Of course kids are affected by that! And they're sexually active! And with all that, and more that I have no time to get into here (no time for yet another series, lol), I would be surprised (and wouldn't believe it) if I were told they
weren't "sexting"! But I also agree with you that it would be absurd and fundamentally
wrong to saddle these kids with convictions!

I have to disagree with you on this one....they have every right to "invade" in instances like this....in fact they have a responsibility. I actually think the picture was on the screen in plain view, which then prompted the further investigation.....
But this is a small part of the over all issue....the dangers these kids are setting themselves up for......

I can see them taking the phone until the end of the school day,
but they had no right looking at the pics saved on it or anything on the phone. Yes, it was stupid, but I think they totally invaded the teen's privacy by opening up the phone and looking at anything on it. The kids should just be warned, and the teacher reprimanded on the rights of others. BTW, Corbin, I'm sending you a pic...lol...have a good day....YIKES !
