I am mother to a four yr old and one n a half yr old and I say the very same thing to my daughter - that my head will burst if you don't keep quiet! My impatience angers and embarasses me, but then i am 28. I wish I had the wisdom and maturity to laugh it away :)

What a sweet story
They sure do know how to deliver the punch lines! I have a stepdaughter, and in October her mom let me take her to Connecticut to visit her paternal grandparents, and I introduced her to my own family as well. Mackenzie is five and she is a little spitfire. It was a fun week, and I look forward to traveling with her in the future. Hopefully next time my husband (her father) will be able to come, too!

MommyLisa,
What a beautiful piece..and I read the one before it about the carving into the door, too. Great stories. Very touching. I am new to the mommy thing myself, being 38 and having a baby at 37. It's a whole new world and I am not the center of it anymore! But I loved the part where you said,..." found the piece of my heart that I never even knew had been missing." I never knew until I had my daughter.
