Isn't that how it always is...
I have experience that as well.I train alot of the waitresses at the second job I have and I will be honest the first rule I teach(not that they listen) is to learn to read when u r 2 go away.I do my best to size up the couple to get a feel for wheither or not to be invisable or personable.When a couple is present I also do my best to be more like the kid sister the guy never wanted and the champioon the girl always dreamed of.Tips might not be as huge than if I played sex kitten but the truth is that the customers are quicker to request me the next time around.I am sorryy that happened to u and next time I suggest sweetly ask the gal to go away.I promise the minute she looks in ur eyes she will know you mean business.
