I don't think Jesus was the type of guy many Christians would've dug. Many Christians are gun-toting bible thumpers that probably would've thumped Christ.
Didn't Jesus hang out with the poor and the left-outs of society? Christians are often too status-quo for this. And often they seem obsessed with toys, money and war.
Like liberals, nazis and all the rest it seems their attitude is convert or get out. A club just like any other club and therefore following the rules of a club.
Speaking of Hitler there are not too many places where one man runs a country and doesn't turn it into a force of war.
The US/modern Europe have large political bodies that prevent one man getting that far out of control.
I don't understand the modern Christian obsession with Jews. It wasn't this way 50 years ago. Do Jews care that much about Christians? Or are they using you? Are they Gods chosen people and are they going to hell because they don't accept Christ as their savior?
Doesn't all this get messy after a while?

For me, to be a Christian one must follow the teachings of Jesus! I think it is misguided to presume we are doing the work of the Lord when we seek to harm His
