I am with you! I held a job outside the home and couldn't wait to get home to my kids and casual clothes! They were much easier to interact in! Kids don't care what you are wearing just as long as they have your attention the world spins perfectly! Great composition, I enjoyed your honesty with dealing with these influential programs! Did the paint come out of the blouse? lol give it to Tide! sam

Re: AMEN, girl.
I so can relate. That's why these shows bug me so much, they are completely unrealistic. Oprah did a similar make-over show for moms and actually used the word shlumpy to describe this poor mom who was tired and overworked and underappreciated. I felt like  instead of a make-over - give the poor woman a nanny, a housecleaner and a glass of wine.  Thanks for your post. Look forward to reading your blog and nice to meet you too.

AMEN, girl.
I've often thought the very same thing while watching these shows. Yes, they're mildly entertaining and sometimes, it's nice to see someone may be less well put together than I am or that perhaps I haven't let myself slide "too far", but the bottom line is that they are unrealistic. I'm lucky (with a three month old) if I get to put my contacts in and brush my teeth before 3 pm. Forget the cute outfit. Fitted blouse? Great...should be perfect while I'm trying to breastfeed. Short skirt? Ideal for vacuuming and let's not forget those high heels that help boost me ever so gracefully up the 4 flights of stairs in my condo....sorry, I've clearly had too much coffee. Nice post and nice to meet you.
