Re: Christmas
I think the stories of the birth of Jesus are beautiful.  I sometimes wish they were true.

Re: Religious Books
Watching believers is certainly entertaining, and informative, but religions are, by nature, based on books (or oral traditions) that become defined as inviolate and sacred.  Then they begin a long and ultimately futile struggle against the advance of human knowledge, trying to maintain their sameness in a changing world.  That humans behave like that is interesting, but not really comforting.

Re: well researched! you always make us think. but some people don't like to.
Sometimes I don't like to think, either.  It leads one outside one's comfort zone.

Well I  hope all the Christians on blogit find your post because I would like to see what they say about it. I doubt I'll ever try to figure out a religion thru book. Watching it's believers is more interesting.
