I always hated selling stuff for fundraisers
It felt like begging. The only fundraiser for which I could sell anything was when we took orders from a sample case with various home products that were actually useful. That was the only time when family and neighbors would buy things because they wanted them instead of because they took pity on me.
Why do the schools assume that all children are born salespeople? Many of us are not and the experience traumatizes us for life.

I think you are correct! My sons sold popcorn in boy scouts and candy in elementary school! sam
