I said that USURY no longer exists as usury defined a limit beyond which interest rates were criminal. Now, there are no such limits.

But, yes, my highschool class had five SAT national merit scholarship recipents in the graduating class of 1965.
My grandchildren say that I know everything, but it is only because they are taught nothing, especially not how to research, to be curious, to puzzle things out, to wonder and to solve things alone....
Shame on America for undoing it all so quietly and steadfastedly.

In 1965, SAT scores hit a peak that hasn't been matched, until very recently. That is an educational trough that lasted something over forty YEARS! This must have been orchestrated by very powerful "behind the scenes," forces that had some hidden motivation to make our population less competitive than our competing peers in the worldwide workforce. I know nothing about the theory behind such things like NAFTA, CAFTA, Open Borders, Free trade, Protectionism, Immigration reform, Border Security, Etc. Etc. Etc. I only see the misery and societal nausea that are the effects of this insanity on us all. When did it become legal for banks and credit card companies to charge as much interest, as loan sharks do, and WHY? When I bought my house, (for the first time) interest rates could not be higher than 11 percent, period! Now they can JUMP that much, for any reason that the credit card or bank deems resonable business practice. No possible appeal to the card holder. This is legalized theft!
We will never have justice while such people conspire against America's best interests, and in their own. Sad, but for time immemorial, this will be true.
