The Greek Oracle of Delphi said ...

... "Know yourself and you know the universe" ... whether beliving in it as a place for truth, or not, the words are vital for us humans.

A well written and important poem - - genio

again, simple and accurate.
you have stood in front of a mirror and actually caught the light at the right angle, haven't you.  how little we realise this truth about ourselves. and how essential it is that we do. and how easy life will be after we're done. inspiring

Mariaki
And why is that anyway … that we: go all out to know others, But for yourself do you even bother?  I think some of us are afraid of what will find but we’re all a beautiful soul in the making so we should take a peak more often.   Well done, my friend!

Excellent write on understanding. Just that word emphasises that this is the ground you stand on ....does the path we follow tell us who we are? Maria you have me thinking! Bless you!

Just loved this post because I can relate to this. I am a firm believer in self appraisal and avoid as a rule passing judgment or nitpicking.

Very good post!!!
Trying to understand other people is much easier than understanding yourself isn't it?  Beautifully written poem - I loved this.
