Re:
Thanks again for stopping by! And I'm so glad you're enjoying India [and our herbal remedies!] I don't know which part you are in, but here in the north, it can get quite cold. Great remedy for colds/coughs/increasing immunity---tulsi leaves/juice with honey, and a pinch of grated ginger! Add some whole pepper if there's a cough. And turmeric in milk is very effective not just for this, but also any aches and pains! More on this as soon as I return from a holiday in the hills [yes! that's where I'm headed, though it will be freezing!]

Nita my dear this post is extraordinarily timely for me!
I get so caught up with so many things at this time of year I very often leave it to late to post overseas; I very much appreciate these offerings and will most definitely check them out later; many thanks and blessings my friend

nita! now before this turns out to be a tennis match (i love this indian expression), thankyou, once again for your comment on my blog. i am thoroughly enjoying india. there is something here that makes everyone get on with it. there's just no stopping- no time or even inclination to let any brooding set in. now see this - my son is down with the cold ( the weather is surprisingly nasty! i unreasonably hate illness of any sort ) and i have been giving him
tulsi leaves. this is in addition to the nutmeg and turmeric in milk- i have seen the magic before, i think it is that time of the year, when i should listen to my
bai and make it a daily habit till the sun is warmer. you get that post out soon - the world has a lot to learn from here

though i wonder if the
Tulsi plant could take the british cold
