Maybe, but I am still inclined to the Swami. I find that there is a difference between an atheist and a religious soul which is akin to a champion who gives 105 per cent and the runner-up who has given 100 per cent.

It seems to me that there is almost a religiosity, a pietousness in being an atheist.
The atheists that I have known well seem to be so fervent about it.

Sorry I dont agree. It's the other way around a religious person does it voluntarily because he is risen above any motive, desire or ambition. He is doing it out of conviction. An atheist on the other hand has some vested interest, overt or covert.

this is a good oine
The atheist is better than the religious person because the atheist is charitable and treats others well, not out of necessity or under pressure of punishment, etc., but from recognizing that this is the way people should be treated.

To volitionally treat others well is better than by coercion.
