I don't know, but it's possible sensitivity is gender-related. Or maybe I'm just a callous #@%%$!, and she's a sweet little girl.

i found some essays that i had written in high school and was surprised at my youthful insight - and also found a manuscript i wrote about 4 years ago that stunk. i couldn't believe that it was so bad and like you i kept rewriting it until it ended up thrown away. you will get an itch sooner or later.
