Thanks for the reminder. Loved his gruffness.
He made the Paper Chase worth watching. His later cameos and parts were a joy.

I was charmed by John Houseman in The Paper Chase.
Such a bulldog! But I knew nothing about him until now, assuming he was an Englishman.
