Ummm...
Yeah, I voted for Obama. I make it a point not to discuss politics with people I like (or might like) so I'll just leave it at that.

One thought keeps coming to mind, the story in the Bible about Saul. The people wanted a change, didn't care to wait on what God had for them. Saul looked good, knew what to say to get himself out of trouble and thus was crowned king. I see a few parallels here.

Unsurprising results
No, I'm not surprised that many Obama supporters don't know much. I'd be very surprised to learn that all McCain supporters knew much more. And why try to imply that the continued slide of the market is Obama's fault? The drop started before the election, and hasn't reached bottom yet. That's much more based on current economic reality than on election results. Obama's performance since being elected is respectable, and I'm willing to wait to find out what he'll do as president. I don't regret my vote. I haven't seen any information yet to convince me he's great or terrible, just competent and thoughtful. But then, my vote was largely an attempt to hold Republicans accountable for their destruction of American values and nearly bankrupting our treasury. A vote for McCain would have been a reward for the failures of the last 14 years of Republican mistakes.

Re: Jane'sOpinion
Just, I'm sure people are selling out to avoid increased dividend and cap gains taxes down the road. Scary to think of the damage he likely will cause.

Re:
That's what i'm banking on, mordent. Messiah Obama will fix it all, and we'll all be able to retire and America will be utopia. That seems to be what he's promised, at least.

He has made a great show of being president before he becomes one. The market has fallen 2,000 points since he was elected.

Don't worry he'll fix it all and if he doesn't the libs wouldn't regret their vote anyway.
