Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Gays and Mormons
Again, Blacks as a whole don't oppose gay rights, and those who do get their attitudes from the church.  Many black politicians and activists support gay rights.  Attacking blacks as a whole would be silly as well as counter-productive.  But churches as a block oppose gay rights, and Mormons went out of their way to support Prop 8.  Black organizations didn't.  Gays deserve the full rights of citizenship, even if they do support the PC movement.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Gays and Mormons

Well your last sentence makes a good point. Still it's safe to attack the church and the gays should be much more furious since blacks were an oppressed people.

In other words gays should expect this kind of bigotry from the church but be outraged that an oppressed people have dealt them this hand.

THe problem is homos are mentally messed up by good old PC and that means religion is open game but race isn't. Hence no balls. Hence they deserve their current fate.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Gays and Mormons

Um, there's not much cahnce that 30% of blacks are gay, even in California.  And there are gay Mormons, but they stay well-hidden.  So perhaps 1 or 2% of Mormons voted against Prop 8.

The thing is, Prop 8 doesn't serve the proponents actual interests, only their emotion-based perceptions.  Pin them down, and ask them how this matters to their lives, and they can't give you a concrete answer.

Re: Re: Re: Gays and Mormons

Perhaps it's 100% Mormons because they're no gay Mormons. And their rules probably prohibit homosexuality altogether.

Whereas the majority of pro-gay black/hispanic votes were probably gay themselves. You need to be reminded how everyone has their own self-interests at heart my dear.

Re: Re: Gays and Mormons
Sure, if you had a legitimate complaint.  After all, gays can accuse Mormons of deliberately trying to cause them harm while expecting no benefit to themselves.  That's persecution.  It's also interference in another state's affairs.  So, get a legitimate argument, and have at it.

Re:
Yes, and among the Mormons?  More like 100/0.  And then there's all that out-of-state money that poured in from Utah and Arizona.  Blacks will catch on faster than Mormons will.

Re: Gays and Mormons

"The gay rights activists are attacking the Mormons because of all that Mormon money in the Prop 8 campaign."

Then I guess I need to start raising hell about the presidential election result. All that money raised and the huge amount from overseas. I have got to get out there and raise hell, get on TV, complain, whine, stomp my feet, hold my breath like some little spoiled child just like liberals!

See the difference? Your kind are the worthless whiners! Thanks for proving it!

Re:

70/30's what I heard but the libs always have it right.

Libs always rationalize things irrationally.

And as for the blacks, the split on the vote was much closer in the black community than the Mormon community.

Yeah....It was close....only 70/30 against the gays.........

Gays and Mormons
The gay rights activists are attacking the Mormons because of all that Mormon money in the Prop 8 campaign.  Mormons make up about 2% of the population in California, but put up 40% of the campaign money.  So I guess the activists believe the money swayed the outcome.

And as for the blacks, the split on the vote was much closer in the black community than the Mormon community.  Attacking the black community as a whole wouldn't make any sense.
