Re: EX TURPI
Exactly why I feel very uncomfortable with it.. I'm not sure that Indonesian government really believes in capital punishment to begin with.. Many people sentenced to death in Indonesia only ended up being in prison for life, but these terrorists are planned to be executed very soon. Many people think that it is rushing for the wrong reason that as this is considered an 'international case' and international public is pushing for a closure, our government feels the need to act accordingly..

If there are more international people (non-Indonesians) who think like you do spread the thought and express it loud enough to be echoed by many others, maybe the decision makers would hear it and think about it..

Thank you for your note about my son.. you are right.. he is already over it and he is now coping better with a front baby tooth (it is shaking, and soon be replaced with a permanent tooth).. It is a chapter of his life he has to walk through..

For your son that is the price of growing up. He will soon forget it all. Personally, I say Capital Punishment is wrong and barbaric. Murder is wrong; and isn't Capital Punishment state sanctioned murder?

EXECUTIONS

Thank you, Orcalion, for your kind, and insightful, comment to my own recent post! You do it (comment) so well, and thoroughly, that I wonder why you do it so seldom! I read every word of your comment and do highly value your opinion.  Although we may live thousands of miles apart, we can still be neighbors through the power of the pen and the speed of the internet.

So, please continue to read and comment ... and to learn from the time you "cuddle to the time you die!"

And, yes, God's Creations are all that He has, and everything He does is to benefit them!

Your friend, Gerald

My sympathy
It must be awful with the executions looming- but you have described so well the dilemma of the whole thing. How confusing and dreadful. Not sure how I would react. Hope you have some beautiful moments this week to take the taste away
