So "growing" means becoming more visible? In many ways, tolerance of gays has increased, but clearly gays are not treated as equal citizens in most of this country yet. So activism will continue.

As for AIDS, about 48% of new infections are attributed to gay sex in America. 27% to heterosexual encounters, and much of the rest to IV drug use. Those getting the disease are disproportionately black and hispanic in all of those populations.

Most of the post was rather vague on specifics, and the bit about gays seemed pertinent to life just now, what with the referendum in California. I don't care what sort of assumptions you make about me. They are probably on par with the rest of your thinking. I mean, the information is available if you deign to look.

CSNBC is the lefts bible and Fox is the rights. So that's one thought on data."

What I mean by the gay population is growing is that more than ever it's okay to be gay and this means they will not be in the closet as much. Also as the general population grows, naturally so will the gay population.

Now what I will tell you is having been tested a few times over the years I ask the counselors about AIDS and they've always told me gays are still the most affected.

I'm not saying this is good and I'm not attacking them for it I'm just telling you the truth.

By the way it's funny out of this whole post that you focus on only that issue. Now you see the average generalizing bigot like myself would assume you were gay but I may be different than the average generalizing bigot. Maybe that is.

Gay Population

Do you have data to back up your pronouncements? The gay population is growing? Not according to the sociologists. The gay population is pretty stable across the human race, throughout history. That's part of the evidence for a biological basis for homosexuality; the prevalence isn't affected by culture. Awareness of the gay population is increasing. Maybe that has you confused. But you have resources to check on this stuff before you blab about it. Of course, research and fact checking is kind of a liberal value, so maybe it doesn't work for someone of your mindset.

A lot of the issues you raise are debatable, but I think you are absolutely correct in one important respect, namely to point to the monumental, mindless and mind-numbing sense of superiority among many of the denizens of the liberal left...
