I admire your philosophy. I wish you could help me love Republicans.
A woman left a comment on my blog that got me thinking. In the blog I had been going off in typical fashion about how much I hated Republicans. She said she was an old child of the Sixties (as am I) and didn't believe in judging/hating only loving and accepting. I was ashamed. I can remember when George W. Bush first helped me make the switch I did it with qualms of conscience. Now I don't even apologize for it anymore. Did you ever read Anne Lamott who used to write for Salon.com? She has written a lot about being a good old baby boomer who has learned to hate the Right. I have noticed she feels a lot less guilty about it than she used to. It sort of makes me sad. I need to get back to loving "all God's children". Meanwhile, my prayer each day is simply, "Dear God, please let Obama win, and please let there be peace in the world." Maryellen
