I like this one because it touches me in my depths, and perhaps something I've moved thru and never resolved (by necessity)...it kind of skirts thru my soul, how alone we can be in our own universe. Love how you write bringing to light the shadows,fragility,and the uncertainty of existence thru quivering lines, while positing them with/against the statement within that moment...felt like I was just a heartbeat away from your voice.
Especially liked how it was written--in short, clear stanzas, which seemed to amplify the inner voice, and I was drawn to the inner rhythm. I think this is one of your best.
I said once before that I don't always know what you are saying, but I like how you say it. But this one got me pinpointed, drawing me to the precipice, and the dizzying possibility of falling into my own black hole.
And I got to tell you...turned out, for me, to be an enthralling experince!!

I hear ya, sometimes it takes Good Bye for another to realize there never should have been a Good Bye. The great thing about a Good Bye is it never has to be forever, unless "you" want it to be.

Good Bye is not Always Good Bye
I have been to good bye. It is not the only way. Have you read "The Dance"? It is not a pleasant experience if you only remain in gray. You can never find the colors. Your soul is not free to fly.

Jen... Goodbye is something should only be said once... and only when its meant to be a real adieu but regretably as you so beautifully express in your poem, sometimes we have to say it over and over again for those who do not take us seriously. I for one wish you never say goodbye to us, for I would miss you too much. You have a gift my friend... and your gift is a demanding master, it demands that you create beauty in sadness and hope... and no one does it like you. Take care of yourself and be proud because you are truly a great poetess.
