- Go to What is "The Singularity"?
Already here
Hit me with a broom for this since many may find it too surreal, but: There is already an Intelligence far greater than that of any single human being or machine can ever be: The Universe that gave birth to our intelligence. Any particular intelligence, be that human or AI, is only an interface between different components of this all encompassing Intelligence and even this comment is like a singular synapse in the Great Mind firing a bit of info for further processing.

It's interesting ...
... to see what's going on at the intellect-side of our development with technology as the centre - What's intelligence - and ... is the development of the intellect the ultimate goal and urge for human life ?
It's questions about the danger in this concept, and the danger is real, 'cause intellect without emotions makes us to robots. I don't see us humans as robots, even if (especially) Japanese inventors race ahead with fantastic new inventions. Yes, it's a fantastic 'thing' about this but, I look at the intellect is a tool for the deeper aspects of humans that have wisdom as core.
Feelings, sensitivity, instincts, intuition etc. are aspects that are merged into us as a unique sum of life in each of us and, as life as a whole. These aspects are beyond the consept of intellect.
Wat about sexuality in this consept? Mystic, magic etc. ... ?
- but development in the direction that The Singularity indicates is good, as long as the perspective is living together in a better world in the future -
