Well, Naut, I can't imagine me ever again wanting a heaving deck under my feet again.  I've never been on a deck that didn't make me heave.  Give me the sand beside the sea, or a cliff above it.  But, the photos are wonderful.

Beautiful pics, naut. But I must confess, it's been a while since I left Toronto and I don't miss it a bit. Except, maybe for the convenience of the public transport (if you can afford living close to one subway station. Forget buses, they're hell); a subway every 2-3 min. during rush hour is tough to beat. LOL

Ahhh, Naut - you are making me yearn for the nautical life again, just when my friends are putting their boats up.  There's always next year!  Mal

I remember that port all too well (is it actually called a port). I spent a couple of years flying back and forth from Vic to TeeOh when I was dating a man from Tronna.  And he had a wonderful boat called “Toys R Us”.  We spent one summer going through the locks and exploring all the interlocking lakes.  Ahhh…  you brought back a lovely memory.  Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos.

Nautikos
I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you Happy Thanksgiving! Now, thank you for these beautiful photos!  What fun this adventure sounds like....and I love road trips, although I do love to fly as well....not the crappola of getting to and from, but being up there.  If I had it to do over again, I would have found a way to get my license.... Anyway, cruising is another joy and can't wait to see the rest of your photos and hear more descriptions to match....

Naut, I always enjoy these posts when you show us pictures of your travels. These are terrific! That monarch sitting among the purple is inspiring. I am looking forward to meeting your daughter! ~OTA
