That's news to me Majroj
I had no idea that the term had parallels with mideavel concepts ! we refer to our children as "pieces of our liver" but that doesn't explain why curiosity of all traits is connected with this organ.

Medieval europeans used to refer to the liver in a similar fashion, yes?
I think they assumed since the live is largest discrete organ, they figured it was of the greatest importance and influence.

My sister and I have always called her "NN".  To us this stood for "nosey neighbor".  From now on, I will always think of her as "she with the enormous liver".
