Re: Xeno-x - this phenomena underscores how ancient religions are plaguing
In fact, the Rapture is a notion of a couple of bible-thumpers out of the 19th Century.  It doesn't even have the weight of ages behind it, nor any real foundation in the Bible.

Well, when the Rapture comes and all the most righteous Christians
translate to Heaven--if it is, in fact, those who are expecting to go(which I would doubt if I gave this any credence at all) who vanish from the face of the Earth, then those of us who remain will happily do without them.

Xeno-x - this phenomena underscores how ancient religions are plaguing

the modern era.

These people are barely one step beyond dancing around campfires at the mouths of their caves. . . . I clipped this off of the web page you linked to:

"God blesses those that bless the Jews and curses those who curse the Jews. Consequently, we believe America needs to bless the Jews and Israel, because if we bless the Jews and support Israel, God blesses us. And if we don't, God curses us."

Yet the Jews haven't bought into the idea of Jesus Christ being the messiah. How can a construct like this exist? These particular Christians believe that the only one true path to heaven is through salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as their lord and master. Yet, Jews do not believe Jesus is/was God or is/was the son of God. By the same religious beliefs that these "Christians for Israel" derive the need to promote support for Jews and Israel, the Jews are all damned to hell. (apparently being the "chosen people" ain't what it is cracked up to be)

Who dreams this stuff up? It is a belief that is not only primitive and ridiculous, the complete lack of logic implodes in on itself with the least bit of scrutiny.

The Rapture...
Well - if the rapture occurs... I will house sit the wealthy Christians - for the devil will get to rule earth for a thousand years... should be good times.
