ciel, under duress, I, at one time used to be a mad man, and all the while acting out my madness I felt stupid and miserable. Later I sudied myself, and got it very strongly in me that it is plain reaction and nothing else, the anger being always other-oriented. I practised for years, improved, and in the meanwhile went through some harrowing life-threatening experiences that taught me a lot, taught me to respond and not react. Now, only the best comes out during stress, that's what I feel. Violence has given way to peace. For me it has been a real-life experience.

Stress?  Anxiety?  I have a total melt-down.  It’s something I have battled for years and if I catch it just as it’s starting to creep in I can often keep in check but if it begins to run away on me I’m toast.  I usually crawl under a familiar blanket, channel flip until I find a mindless but happy movie and try to block out my thoughts - thoughts that are usually misplaced, overly exaggerated, and riddled with "doom and gloom".  It's funny how our minds can sometimes become a run-away train....
