It is unfortunate
that to any clear belief system will cling those desperate people who find difference frightening and who are not prepared to lay down their fear and learn about new things. You will find these people in every religion and every political or belief system - including science. They are not representative of any belief system's true values, but only poor frightened souls who are doomed to stagnate inside their little fortresses of ideology.
I feel sorry for them.

EX TURPI
The question is easily resolved if we accept the
real facts: Not that God created man, but that man created gods and God. And unfortunately the hatred of other gods or different conceptions of God is often built into the creed as an indispensible, integral part of it. If you read the Koran, for example, you will understand what I mean...

Ex_Turpi,
You are a smart cookie, there isn't any reason for disrespecting someone simply because they may have different beliefs from you. Thank you for the birthday wishes.

"Despising" is a defect in the despiser. It is not a gift from God. It is the choice
of one that has rebelled and determined to go his own way. The gifts that God gives
are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and
temperance. The one who possesses these gifts extends them to all men everywhere.

The Case Against
It is an excellent question: If God created all of humanity, why did He not give all peoples the same religion? Why choose one race or tribe? To me, this has never made any sense.
