I agree with you, of course, but I'm not big of the Bible. However, there are those who interpret the story of Onan, son of Judah, as a tale of self-pleasuring, wrongly in my opinion. It says he spilled his seed on the ground rather than raise children in his brother's name. So he just pulled out early. But Onanism is a recognized word in English, and its definition is making love alone.
