I agree with you here, on this issue. I consider this a pro-life stance: respecting the quality of life a child is born into and the quality of life of a woman not ready or wanting to bear a child.
I also would not have considered abortion for myself. But as a moral/spiritual issue, it is between a woman and her God, whatever that may be.
It is none of my business, nor is it the state's business.

If you really want to know someone, you will be able to know them through their
actions.
In my opinion...pro life is just another attempt to "control" women.
Though I am not for abortion and could not think of many circumstances where I would personally consider it...I do believe that women should have that choice.
I may be wrong, but I like to believe that most good people don't have to seek that option...but then there are those that use it as birth control. Do we really want to force someone that irresponsible to raise a child? How many children that are neglected and/or abused will thank you for "forcing" their mother to bring them into this world?
I think that some people are not meant to be parents and should not be made to be.
