I can relate
I have Fibro too.  If your doctor thinks there is nothing to be done than get another DR.  There a many options but no one med to make fibro better.  Each of us have to find our own path.  The National Fibromyalgia Association (FMAware.org) has all kinds of research and information.  The best med I have found is Meripax.  It is for restless leg syndrome and is used for Parkinsons.  Research has shown that it is also helping Fibro by increasing the production of dopamine.  Fibro is caused by trauma and this decreases the size of the hippocampus and production of dopamine.  This causes further central nervous system damage and you go into fight or flight syndrome.  Your kidneys then do not release phosphates and this is returned to the cells causing our cells to work continuously 24/7/365. Thus, the pain and the fatigue.  The phosphates get stored within our bodies at tendons, joints, ligaments, bone, brain, and organs.  I also take Guiafenisen per Dr. St Amand protocol to release the phosphates. Although your not supposed to take aspirin in any form, natural or otherwise, I have found a balance so I can take an Excedrin Migraine in the afternoons and this reduces the pain tremedously.  Alternative Care Therapies have also been a big help; more so then meds. You are not alone. Help is out there.  You will find it online.

Sunny... I am sorry I got to this post so late,  now its probably of no use to you what I am going to say but for future reference, your predicament, being stuck in your house with no way to going and getting your prescription of which you take a very high dossage qualifies as an emergency and you can call your local police department or 911 number to help you.  Officers would have to respond and either take you to get the medicine or send someone to help.  Sweetie I am glad everything turned out OK.

Sunnybeach7..
I hope all this works out to your best. I am sorry you are in a position not to get what you need when you are ill. I have prayed for you.

Justi...
We live with my mother...and her being off tomorrow would make it impossible for her not to know.

It's hard enough to deal with those childhood fears and memories when she yells at the kids...and she has been in a bad mood the last few days.

Yes, I do not believe in the same way that you do...but am never opposed to prayer, in which I do believe is beneficial. Thanks so much.

If I am not doing well tomorrow, or worse...I'm sure my mother will come around...but... who  knows?

If it makes your mother angry so what. Your health is at stake here. It appears she may be angry anyway. Ask your little girl's dad to do this for you. Ask him not to mention it to your mom keep some of your life to yourself. She does not need to know everything. I am sorry I do not mean to interfere with family but this is ridiculous, you need these meds. I know you are not a believer but would you care if I prayed for you anyway. You don't seem to have much to loose if it does not work.

Justi...
I have two people that "can". My mother, and my daughter's father.

My mother had already stressed to me, on Friday, that she is not going "all the way (5 miles) back out there again" so that we could get the food that I hadn't gotten in Walmart...because she told me that she had to go to the grocery store on Sunday...then changed her mind.

She's known since last night that I have been out of medication. She took the kids to my aunt's house in Ohio today for the family Labor Day picnic....and I know she could tell how crappy I am feeling since she got home.

I had just found out that she had taken a vacation day tomorrow and will be here now.
I was planning on calling Sarah's dad to see if he could take me out there if he is off...but now that my mother will be home, I can't do that, as it will severely piss her off.

So unless I am lucky and she has some change of heart and stops enjoying watching me suffer, then I am out of luck till at least Wednesday.

I've found that my head is clearer and I am less dizzy if I just lye down. It seems the longer I am "up", including sitting and especially standing/walking, I get messed up.
It also seems to help if I can avoid not thinking about all that is stressing me right now.

But I will surely post when I find some way to get the meds. I'm pretty sure that Sarah's father will do it, even if he can't right away, and even if he is reluctant to.

Thanks for your kind concern.
