His teaching were easy to understand that's for sure
He bases everything in love and also he uses a lot of metaphors which makes things easy to understand too. People certainly do take license on T-shirts

yeah i guess my son would do well in an Episcopal Church.
except with the liturgy.
he was baptized in one.
Besides, I am trying to get him to become an officer in my church.

For some it is the easy way out
I know a lot of people who use His name as an answer to most of lifes' difficult questions. This saves them from thinking about it. Perhaps this is how He saves those. As you know by now I consider Him an Icon of peace, love and understanding of the human condition, not a simplistic "way out" as many Christians do. I find the comment before mine a bit disturbing and indicative of deceit on a grand scale but I will first read the authors own blog before I make up my mind on that one.

I think, in the end... for someone who has Jesus on his mind as much as you seem to do... perhaps Christ will be for you like that ad campaign where that mother is waving a french fry in her strollered child's face... and the child simply writes her off with a knowing look and bops her on the noggin' with a "Coulda hada V-8." But, I probably missed your point because like most people, my mind is made up already. Did you see the "Mel-hell movie... The Passion of the Christ... ?" I know, that I know he loves me... I bawled my eyes out all the way through that movie... Jesus never made it easy for people to follow him... in fact, he often said things that turned them away... like... "if you've even looked with lust on a woman, you've already done it..." I think those people who turned away at that point, at least some of them, must have come back because they knew Christ paid the price. You're a deep thinker Kooka... the church needs you... why don't you go to Seminary and be a real preacher... I bet you'd a real Reformer... weed out a lot of this bullshit... and yes, you're calling a spade a spade... Get the education and go for it in some major city... a LOT of Seminary students DON'T believe in THE HOLY BIBLE, the Divinity of Jesus, etc., etc... it'd give you a lot of room to spread out your wings and fly... do it man, we need you...
