Foreign policy ...
I heard a pundit on the news yesterday say that Sarah has more foreign policy experience than Obama due to the fact that Russia practically touches Alaska.  LOL

Re: Re:
Isn't politics a mess.  LOL
I never know for sure what I am doing when I vote and I always wonder if everyone else is as unsure as I and just pretends to know what they are doing.

Re:
I don't really know.......for me this exemplifies everything wrong with the process......why would any "common person" seek public office when they have the prospect of this kind of "vetting" ahead......

On that thing about experience. The more that I thought about it, the weirder this argument gets, and not just because Democrats chose as their Presidential candidate a man who lists his study abroad semester as his foreign policy experience............For the past 8 years Democrats widely deride Cheney for overstepping the bounds of the Vice Presidency. Prior to Cheney no one knew what the hell a Vice President did other than ride around on Air Force Two and pretend to be important. Sometimes, if the President doesn’t feel like going on a diplomatic mission to a backwater nation, the Veep would get an extended vacation. Al Gore used to use the long plane rides to teach his kids about global warming. Cheney is widely viewed by the left as the puppetmaster, the brains behind the operation, and the left has never forgiven him for being more effective than Earthy Al. In fact, they frequently talk of impeaching him for it.

And yet, they picked a “complimentary” Vice President in Biden…someone who could fill in when Barack discovered that he was in over his head. Biden is supposed to be some sort of foreign policy assistant when poor Obama can’t handle the office he was elected to. Biden fills in where Obama lacks any sort of qualification whatsoever, and somehow, the left thinks this is acceptable. Biden will be Obama’s Cheney — the man who waits creepily in the bushes, watching Obama’s every move and orchestrating the day-to-day foreign operations of the White House while Obama delievers glowing speeches sans tie and toting cute children, helping the nation to feel better about Change.

Go figure......

Corbin_Dallas, I have to admit that I am not real comfortable with John McCain's choice for VP.  Maybe it's because I knew nothing of her before the choice was made.  Maybe its because I'm so much older than she.  Maybe I am being swayed by all the emails I am getting that contain exerpts from Daily Kos.  Are you sure that the vetting was complete and she has nothing to hide?

Amen, Corbin, great post!

It certainly did not take long for the Left to start trashing the woman.  However, I'm thinking she is more than up for the task of fighting back/defending her position.

Frankly, I think they're scared and envious and having second thoughts over NoBama's choice of an old Washington insider as veep.

you know that I don't comment on politics often and you know why but I will say, I am thrilled that he choose her.  I have a few clients from Alaska and they really like her.  It seems she has been making some huge strides in improving things there and finally Alaska seems to have some hope.  For the sake of Alaska I do hope that if they win the election, that the person replacing her will continue on the path she is blazing over there.

Those trashy attacks are beneath contempt! And I'm sure one reason the Left is playing up Palin's 'glamour girl' image (at the expense of her substantive merits) is to provoke a 'cattiness reaction' among women...
