Unknown aspects of ...
... ourselves ... yes, they're present and I look at it as a natural part of us - the balance is negativity and positivism, in waves ... so when the negative part comes it should be faced and given the chance to tell what's next step in our development - and I believe that's an everlasting process - nothing to be afraid of, it's a helper/guide -  - genio

Hi WaterKat, am I pleased to see you,it's great
The dark night of the soul, it bothers and does not let one be at peace only if one bothers about it. 'Who am I?', is the most essential question one can ever ask oneself. And I am glad that you are asking this Q. This one single Q will lead you to light one day. In India, we call it the negative, neti - neti, not this - 'not this' approach. Suppose there are 50 poeple, and you want to find Jeff whom you do not know, so the ultimate will be that you will go on searching and they all say 'not me, not me' then know without his saying that the 50th is Jeff. I'll give you the depths of the subject anytime uou are ready.

WaterKat
Having been through “darkness” (and it continues to come and go) I understand your theory that embracing one’s darkside can be a means of defeating it.  Yet there’s a fine line in this approach and if we cross it we can become mired in the darkness versus emerging as someone who is in control of it.  “Accepting” a part of our personality – a negative aspect – is very different than wearing it.  So what I’m labouring to say is that we needn’t be that dark person, we need only to accept that it is a small part of who we are.  It’s better to befriend the positives…..  Hope you come out of your funk.
