I am surrounded by people i believe are talented and good people,
seems like they always beat me to the punch, they tell me how great they are before i can tell them.

Straightforward
I could certainly handle experiencing more positivity floating around me. It would be a wonderful thing.

You are right ... honesty and sincerity are important when making a comment. No one wants hot smoke blown up their ... hmmm... well you know, but sometimes a poet specially, needs a little encouragement, even if he or she knows in their heart that the commenter has been a little...shall we say exuberant in their praise. I agree with you that there is nothing more exhilarating than finding a comment that rings truth or to realize that there is someone out there that gets you and still likes what you write. Lets remember though that our writings are like children to us...and like children we feel possessive of them...so being gentle while commenting is a great idea :-) Great post!

We all hunger for acknowledgement.
