Re: Beautiful!
When you find your way up here, let me know, I would love to show you the sights!  I can even take you to a haunted lighthouse if you promise not to be scared!

Re: HUH?
You better go read ALL of the comments on Cheugon's post...we have devised quite a plan to outlaw dial up and use you as the poster child.    Next we will take over the world!

Re: Myrrhage

It sure does!   I expected to come here and hate it, but now, I don't see me leaving anytime soon (though I might be willing to take offers for a warmer climate during the winter months).

Marquette is a little too crazy for me, I only go there when I need to go to Michaels as they have the only one up here.

Re: Sam

I will have to work on the pictured rocks as the tours are insanely expensive!  I know I have some of the Mac and if not, I am making the trek to Flint next week to actually have an airport to fly out of.  Flying form Marquette is an extra 300 per flight, isn't that crazy!

I'll go smelt dipping with you but I am NOT biting the head off of anything!

As for the red lighthouse, that is along US 2 in Manistique, it's one of the roadside parks there.

LOL I always manage to go the wrong way on that danged fork getting to the bridge!

Still thinking! Still scary! I just wanted to share a tidbit since White Fish is still on my mind. My youngest son was on a Frigate when he was 16 as part of a drill for Naval Sea Cadets; it was the last run on the Great Lakes because it had been sold to France. It was also the last frigate on the Lakes. The mission of the last run was to mark the burial ground, if you will, for the Edmund Fitzgerald. They put out the markers and made one final pass as a salute and now no ships may cross over the Fitzgerald again. It was a tremendous experience for a young kid. sam  Have you seen Escanaba in the Moonlight? lmao with that one! DNR outta Deeetroit? lol

Wow, I didn't know you live here!  I used to live in Marquette and then just outside the city limits on M-28 East.  Not a day goes by that I don't think back and remember how beautiful it is there.  And it's been 13 years!  Da UP does leave an impression doesn't it?  Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos.

You have my heart now darlin'! I love lighthouses. I see Whitefish Pt. but I did not recognize the red light house! I have 95 of them on my wall in my den! My pal who just left Blogit posted a lighthouse for me too! It is her special place but she shares it with me! I am one lucky blogger! O, this just makes me homesick in a great way. Thank you so much for a little slice of home! Hey, we just need one of the mighty Mac and the photo tour is complete and pictured rocks, and.... lmao. It will never be done. The photo of Lake Michigan is eeriely similar of the view from across the Cut River Inn. I was thinking after I left your blog (scary I know) that when you head west out of Trout Lake, you come to a fork-like place in the road. You go straight to Rexton or turn left to head toward U.S. 2; I can't remember if it is labeled by county road number or if it is called Caffey Road. There is a cemetary on the road by the same name. Our family plot is there. I always thought that crazy that my family had a huge section. Many others do as well. Quite the side bar. I think it is only 11 miles to US 2 from the fork! I want to go smelt dipping! Next Spring! lmao I will be back for another look! This is so great meeting up with you. I love the da UP, eh!  sam I can't resist, "Going down below any time soon?" lol  Have a fantastic day!!!!!!!!!
