The problem is that even citizens of the U.S. have been detained in this
convoluted and sordid tale, Naut, their rights of habeas corpus suspended. Either we will be a nation of laws and abide by our laws and agreements (international laws agreed to), or we will be a tyrant astride the planet (which is our current foreign policy)...

This is a shame unto this nation of laws, sam. I don't like the idea of
terrorists roaming free, but I hate the idea of my own nation defying its Constitution and denying the rights of others...

Just read the Constitution, Luz. That's all you need. Everything that
conflicts with it should not be tolerated (unless it can be proven to better the protect the rights of us all)...

In the past, POW's were always handled differently - in many cases kept long after the war was over. 'Irregulars', as terrorists certainly are, were simply shot or hanged...
Habeas Corpus was
not intended to apply to enemies, but only to citizens...
