Selkie

This is kind praise indeed from all of you fine poets. I also have come to consider you all as friends.  After 25 years of writing in relative solitude, I am truly moved by your kind words, and am inspired to continue writing.  You have all enlightened my muse with your encouragement.

Speechless, pleasantly stunned! I love the set up for the incredible rhyme scheme! You are such a fine poet! Still speechless, a fantastic poem, and still speechless. This merits another read! I am so glad you are on Blogit!  sam

Not too many would be as successful as you are...
weaving tales with the poetic precision that you do.  Most of the best fantasy writers were strong lyrical storytellers first.  Nice job! - Chris

Joe, you are a constant amazement to me.  I love how you create such lovely stories within the context of your poetry, and my eyes are glued to every line until the very end.  I even started getting riled up when I thought the daughter might leave the father, shouting out "Oh hell no, child, you better not!" - and was relieved when she stayed with him.  LOL.  I love that I can feel like that.  You ROCK.  And thanks.  -Mindy
