Hahahaha! You all crack me up!
Boffer fighting sounds like great fun! We may be adding mixed martial arts to our training soon....Looking forward to it, even though it will probably add character to my facial features. LOL!
Free drinks, yeah, but as a DD, I was already gettin' those...No lap dance given to me, but I was asked to give one! And then some dumb-ass Elvis-wannabe came up and started telling me about how dangerous martial arts training is, 'cause it gives you a false sense of security, and he should know 'cuz he'd been doing it for 18 years. I was like, "You, numbnuts, where were you when that gorilla was threatening Roxie?" I already knew, of course--I'd seen him sitting at the bar, back to the stage, curled as close to the wall as he could get. Certainly didn't give him a sense of security, false or otherwise!!
And Nite....Trial by fire, baby. I earned my stripes the hard way. When backing down just isn't an option, you learn what you can do, what you can take, and after that the rest is easy.

WHOA.....
.....I am so jealous!!! I panic at the thought of being hit. I'm a big fat baby...I don't want to be...
...but a gal like me can learn from a person like you. I gotta try and be STRONGER. You're just amazing, Charlie....in a scary way because when I read your stories, I never know what's going to happen next!! That's pure "awesome-ness" if I do say so myself!!

Cool story of a cool head...
My son is a Charlie, too--he is into boffer fighting, which is all about the kind of combat that goes all out with no one getting hurt.
