- Go to Carlin Probably Said At Least One Of The Seven Words There At The End
We have indeed lost an artist, Glennb. However, by following his
example and others like him, I think we can all make a greater contribution to an honest dialogue within the human condition. Carlin was a practical rational realist who happened to be entertainingly funny. Not a bad gig if you can get someone to pay you for it...

GlennB ... did you know George was an atheist? Not that there's anything
wrong with that .... just sayin' ...

Saul Relative,
Believe it or not it was a Don Imus interview that turned my opinion of George Carlin? I can't say which. But I think his delivery cued me to his genius. Damning the "political correct" and embracing the right to express ourselves in "words". Where do we go now? We are losing our artist, thus an American art!

It may go down as an urban myth that he said them all, mysteria. How
funny would that be?

Carlin was a great influence to many, TAPS, not just would-be comedians.
He definitely made us think in unconventional ways. I wonder what he'd say about all the hoopla over his death...

Saul_Relative, I was thinking about writing a little post on George Carlin, but I haven't done it yet. Glad to see your quote here.
