Add to this the deregulation of the mining industries, xeno-x. One of the
very first things Bush did as president was put in place his cronies over at the EPA, then his administration went to work on the Clean Air Act and addendums thereto, changed a few words here and there, and, with the aid of a rubberstamping Republican Congress, pushed through legislation that, along with not signing the Kyoto Accord, has done more to damage the ecology of this nation than any legislation in history.  Read Big Coal and you'll see what I mean...

Re: This is a really nice "opinion" piece.......

I have facts to back these statements up.

They will be coming shortly.

This is a really nice "opinion" piece.......
but that's all it is....I will respond to one of the glaring untruths.....

as to the Senate and the Kyoto treaty......On July 25, 1997, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, along with 93 other senators (with five senators not voting and none voting in opposition) adopted a resolution stating that ‘the United States should not be a signatory to any protocol to, or other agreement regarding, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change of 1992, at negotiations in Kyoto.

Not a single Democrat voted against it....perhaps that had a bit of influence on Billy Bob's decision to support it???
