Re: Hey! That's a... WAW comment! I'm a big fan of Stephen King...
He has written some "deep things" too... Now, here in Belgium and the Netherlands I have published a lot of books, in Dutch of course, mainly historical faction/historical mysteries, but often with a supernatural/gothic/horror touch. I like the work of E.A. Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, G.G. Marquez, Umberto Eco, King etc. But I've written a lot of "light verse" too, and some comedy and I am in a "theatre band", making folk and rock music and "letting the good times roll"... Now, this "Shell Shocked Isabel Shrapnel" is spooky, and scary, and sad indeed... But that was this "Great War" too, and where I live, you can find everywhere the traces that were left. Every year farmers dig up some ammunition... that sometimes explodes... after nearly a century! There still are corpses found in Flanders' fields, every year!...

Amazing as always. You are the Stephen King of Blogit, but the difference is that your poems , unlike kings novels, have meaning, deep poignant meaning behind their lines. I am so curious as of why is it that your verse is so dark. Don't take me wrong, you write flawlessly, but is always so spooky, so scary, so sad. In any case I love reading you. Take care
