SORRY I have taken so long in responding to ALL of your wonderful comments!
My computer has been 'in trouble' and playing me up-(somehow just like when the words will not fit the format of a poem?)-since Sunday!!! So-now I am back on track so to speak--I THANK YOU ALL-for your responses to the poem! I appreciate each of them! Thank you again.God Bless.Love Chris.

Scramble, That really is how it goes. It is in writing a poem that one learns to write a poem. It is in writing many poems that one becomes a poet. Just as energy breeds energy, and enthusiasm breeds enthusiasm, the act of writing a poem births a poet.

Aside from the exquisite imagery and being captivated; I was so taken with the way the cadence took off on its own. It was exhilarating! sam

Chris, how true it is... the birth of a poem is so much like fitting a
jigsaw puzzle together at times...the parts are there, after much thought, but where and how they fit can become quite nerve wracking..

..great piece!..
