I go get the kids I don't smoke around
Then I act like one! The walks to buy cigarettes and the price even cheap now force me to meditate! Sometimes I think I can't afford to smoke (ie, Health, finances, etc.) and then I think I can't afford not to with all of my problems!!!

Very good write and coping mechanism. I've been doing much needed cleaning like a maniac around my little apartment to distract me so I don't start smoking again. I'm glad to hear we are both doing positive things to refrain from smoking. I have heard that so many times people give up one addiction for another, go figure. From my  to your .

Oh Gosh I love this blog ~ (I'm number 7 from sibs of 10 - 5 deceased now) I appreciate what you speak of --- the doing things alone.  I was like that...the renegade --- the rebel (LOL) ~  I love the whole concept here of yes, 'thwarting' as Vicki said, another crave.  Step by step you are achieving a great lifestyle. (hugs to you) Elyse

This reminded me
that somewhere on my agenda, fairly low, I will admit, but it's there, is the plan to learn to juggle three balls. I should probably start with squash balls rather than tennis balls, they'd bounce less far, and I'd be chasing after these balls for a while anyway...

...cool...caught it all...images, feeling, everything...reminds me of something a Mexican mechanic told me today...it's a small shop i go to regularly...i know everyone there...they're cheap...they're good....they won't blow smoke up your ass...they may miss something the first time but, they don't gouge you...so you know that you're only paying for the minimum that needs to be done....Jaime has a wife and kids....a mortgage....life is hard....he got arrested for something recently....don't know what....we talked about his lawyer....the cost....the likely sentence....he's always struggling to make ends meets...almost always cheerful....we stood for a moment in the Texas heat....he looked around....he said, "this world is wonderful"....i said, "what?"....he said, "this world is wonderful"....i considered it for a few moments....i looked at him and said, "you're right, it is wonderful"....he said, "maybe i'll get to do it again"....i said "maybe you will"....we smiled.....he went back to work....i had the same feeling reading your post....moon
