Oh Marie, you are so right! We must adjust to the changes as they occur. I know that when my income was dramatically reduced to my debilitating migraines and could no longer work, I just changes my needs and desires so they could live quietly and productively within my means. I am sure many people would have difficulty adjusting to 50 thousand dollars less per year but I am much happier than when I had scads of money. You are right throw pity out with the bath water because surviving, breathing, and being happy are all that truly matter at the end of the day. sam

You truly are inspirational...........thanks for sharing. In the past few days, I read a story about this 62 yr old woman who died after spending her ENTIRE LIFE in a iron lung. She actually graduate high school and was working on a college degree. Unfortunately, the power failed in their home and something was wrong w/ the back-up generator......Now, that's an amazing life and story.
